Mark Series Halcyon goggles designed in the 1930's
Mark Series Halcyon goggles were designed in the 1930's and were used by the British Air Force in World War II. The Mark 9 deluxe goggles have chrome-plated solid brass frames which are hand-stitched to a soft brown leather facemask. The elasticated headband and knurled-screw nose bridge allow adjustment for individual comfort. UV-protected scratch-resistant polycarbonate lenses.
The Mark 9 model is one of the most original goggles in the Halcyon range. They continue to be manufactured by hand in the UK using a highly skilled workforce. The care that is taken on each goggle can clearly be seen in the finished quality of the product.
The lenses are made from a good quality polycarbonate that is treated with a scratch resistant coating to prevent damage to the surface. Each lens is housed in an independent frame that can be easily removed from the goggle to allow replacements to be fitted or to simple switch them with tinted lenses if the sun happens to be shining.
The head band now also comes fitted with triple silicon, elasticated non-slip strips for the perfect grip when worn over an open face crash helmet.
