Percebes (Goose Barnacles), are filter-feeding crustaceans that live attached to the rocks in the Ocean tideline. Their existence depends on water motion (SURF!) as they are static beings, so if you want to find them, you will need to go to those rocks where waves hit the hardest.
In Spain & Portugal they are an expensive delicacy and this is not only for their extraordinary organoleptic qualities (A.K.A. Sea Bites!), but because every year a few harvesters loose their life in the Galician shores, fighting the tides to sustain their families. This movie captures beautifully the love & dedication a job like this really takes.
