Absolutely
Seeing his bikes in photos is one thing , but seeing them in person will show you point blank what an absolute Artist the man is
We're ( US ) so damn lucky to have him here
For those unfamiliar with Shinya's work , Google Chabott Engineering , and click on the ' Works ' page
Spend a minute or two on the Non Motorcycle 'Works' as well to see his incredible sculptures
If'n you're ever in LA . look him up and pay the man ( and Ayu ) a visit . Bring along your Leica M series film camera and you'll really get his attention , assuming you're a genuine user of the cameras ( I'm an M6 addict )
>I see we have many tastes in common Mr. Guitar, I had a lovely M6 before the cheating, heavy, M8… haha… but trapped in the fast digital world made developing to difficult to achieve on time for me… not to talk about the number of films I used to loose before even getting to the point of developing!#$%^&* Cheers!
I completely understand . Luckily for me , having the Henri Cartier Bresson attitude of " let the expert not me develop the photos " I've got an absolute wonder of a B&W genius right up the road .
He was artist Thomas Hart Benton and former US president Harry S. Truman's photographer back in the day and now does all my promo shots as well . He's a genius at developing and photographing . Does great M/C and Custom car shots as well
But he's even older than me and once he's gone thats it : so I'm guessing an M8 or an M9 body is in my future as well . Damn ! ( I really love print from film especially in B&W )
Finally , yes we seem to have a bit in common which is why I'm checking your site every morning .

Old school is always more delicate, can' t discuss that, so try to hold on to it until you can!
