Pery (CRD) & I drove up North to meet Agustin Fernandez, founder of AFMANXS MOTORS in 1973, Oviedo. The man is a living legend! Racers like Phil Read have run for him, his invictus BSA 500 has conquered La Bañeza’s Gp for 7 consecutive years and the crazy Thunder Sprint. Entering his Temple of Speed is a religious experience for any motorcycle enthusiast. The place is overwhelming, filled with british racing heritage & Agustin’s memories and trophies from his racing years. Once in there, you feel like a 70’s Race Shop somewhere in mid England. Gotta love the smell of it! ElSolitarioMC’s lil’ Trumpet will be receiving his counsel in order to stay on track on Aptil 30th ClassicMoto in Madrid.
Enough words for now, I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
Among AFMANX next projects, is to get a speed record in Bonneville with this Prototype BSA.
Trying different tank/seat combos on the the Lil’Rat Racer while chatting races with Agustin & Pery (CRD). The T120 will receive new Amal Monoblocks, Boyer Ignition, 18′ track alloy rims and race tires, rearsets, race bars, no lights… …
Stay tuned!
